Artistic residencies create opportunities for both established and emerging artists to create new work with FATC’s professional company. FATC has hosted two Artists in Residence annually providing a platform for choreographers from the national and international contemporary dance industry. The new works created are produced and staged by FATC.

In 2013 FATC additionally launched a Visiting Young Choreographers residency programme aimed at young up-and-coming professional choreographers. It provided two choreographers the opportunity to create a new work with FATC’s Incubator Interns.

From 2015 new national and international artistic residency opportunities emerge through the establishment of the company’s Rural Dance Centre in Mpumalanga. For further information click here
